The federal Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act is a federal mandate that requires consumer credit reporting agencies (that include Equifax, Trans Union and Experian) to give you a free copy of your credit report once a year. These three consumer credit reporting agencies have set up a central Web site, a toll free number, and a mailing address so you can receive your really free credit report! These agencies will NEVER send you an e-mail solicitation or use pop-ups. Get your free annual credit report to view and fix credit problems you may have, but are not aware of!
