Saving Money during the Holidays

Consider these simple steps when starting your holiday shopping and save money!

• Buy in bulk. Instead of buying lots of expensive gift bags, buy a set of 10 or 20 plain, colored paper bags and save money! For wrapping paper, try to find deals like buy one roll of paper and get another free! Also, reusing bags is always a great option.
• Draw names for gifts. If you and your friends or family members want to exchange gifts this season, draw names instead of buying for everyone! Also, set a price limit that should not be exceeded.
• Take advantage of holiday deals. Take advantage of sales, especially on Black Friday. Many stores have sales and specials the day after Thanksgiving. Also, check the newspaper and your email for coupons that you may receive that are for the day after Thanksgiving only. Don’t miss out on a great deal!
